GLITTER KEY FOBS

I love the sparkle of glitter vinyl, it’s like a pool from my dreams filled with stars and David Bowie songs. At least that’s what I was going for when I designed these key fobs, but by 2am everything starts to feel like that anyway. And you can buy a piece of my mania for your own life!

Though colloquially called key chains, these are actually key fobs.

The base fabric is glitter vinyl, hand-cut and sewn on my Pfaff. I seal the edges with sparkle puff paint, which requires a steady hand and multiple layers for a smooth finish. Though flexible and wonderfully plastic, these fobs are incredibly durable and keep their seductive luster.

These little beauties are listed in my Etsy shop, and would make an excellent gift (and fund further glitter vinyl purchases!).

Story of the Running Wolf EP release costumes

As soon as I got home from Burning Man this year I got to work! Story of the Running Wolf dropped their new EP, and I design and made a new set of costumes for the release party at V Lounge. These shots from the show were taken by my friend Brian Campeau.

I shared some progress shots on my Instagram. This was an incredibly labor-intensive project, done over 4 nonstop days. Basically there was a lot of tunnel quiltied lycra lamé.

As always, they looked amazing! I had a great time at the show, especially hanging out in the green room before they went on.

TRAVELING SEAMSTRESS

I’m spending the next couple months back in New Orleans! Although I’ve lived in Los Angeles for 6 years, this is my home, and I couldn’t be happier to be back for the winter.

My sewing machines are set up in the studio behind Adorn & Conquer. I’ll be there throughout the week working on favorite products and new designs. You can also come see me at Magazine Art Market at Dat Dog on certain Saturdays and Sundays. Currently I’m booked for markets on 8 November, and 14-15 November.

To my wonderful Los Angeles clients: Thank you for making 2015 my most productive year ever! I’ve been so busy that I haven’t shared most of my projects on my website yet (a perfect task to do while drinking beers on the porch while I’m in Dixie). I’ll be back on the west coast by the end of January, and am already taking project bookings now. Email me about your project!
