PINK GYPSY SKIRT

by

Filling out the skirt spectrum, I’ve made some pink patchwork skirts. They’re fun to dance and twirl in, and easy to lounge in, making them perfect for festivals.

It’s lightweight and flowing, just what you need for dancing the hippie can-can.

The wide jersey waistband is crazy comfortable. The waistband is tight enough to always keep the skirt up, even with the pockets loaded, but the fabric doesn’t have enough tension to create a muffin-top.

There are 12 panels of cotton, silk, and a few vintage polys, plus elastic lace at the top and pink trim at the hemline! Every skirt winds up being put together a little differently, so each one is unique. Plus, I’m only making three of these!

If you’re feeling rosy you can get this skirt in my Etsy shop!

EPIC-LETTES

by

I’m not into steampunk at all but I am into the fabulous and absurd, so pink and ruby epaulettes are right up my alley.

They look pretty damn good on my silver blazer, and would also kick ass at Burning Man and beyond.

The bar pin keeps them from shifting around and is comfortable to wear, even in thin clothing. The glass bead fringe swings when you dance around.

They’re made with Fabric Planet appliqués, heavy-weight interfacing, pink velvet, beaded fringe trim, and lots of hand stitching. And I think they turned out pretty damn cool.

This is the only pair of its kind, so grab it first in my Etsy shop!

MAKIN' MARDI GRAS

by

The other day I came across a time lapse video of me cutting out Jason’s Mardi Gras jacket, so I added some music and final photos. Voilá!

Take a walk down memory lane by checking out the fabulous costumes from our first Mardi Gras together.

There was a hiccup earlier today in which the site went down, but the wonderful Randi at GoDaddy support took care of everything, and then we talked about Burning Man for a while. Right on!
